Fine.
I work as the Sr Security Architect at NeoSpire, a hosting company in
Dallas, TX. I have been doing research on information security since my
first admin gig in 1995 at a large ISP. I am a jack of all trades, had
and lost my CISSP (just didn't re-up). I am swamped with everyone
being afraid of PCI and being "compliant" which in and of itself is an
interesting look at why things are interpreted differently by different
auditing firms.
I am presently looking at porn. No really... I am doing research on a
link between porn and malware, and how people are willing to deal with
the risk of being infected to get their "goods". Also looking at the
proliferation of "tube" sites and how much of the content is infected.
It leads to many hard nights of research... *ugh* sorry, difficult
nights of research.
Anyway, my day to day job is securing "trust" in our customers and my
employees, my nigh job is the coordinator of the DefCon groups world
wide and I lead the local DC214 chapter. My handle is MadHat Unspecific
and [[[|%^) is my personal emoticon. Yes I am mad, but we're all mad here.
I am way behind on email and I am very interested to see where some of
the discussion go. I am not a psychology person, but have an interest
and have taken some classes back in college. I like looking into the
whys so here we go.
Ta-da... ask and ye shall receive.
