like Megaera I'm a little cowed by the impressive folks on this list but...

I'm a donut eating cop at heart. After a Physics with Space Science
degree I went into London's Metropolitan Police (aka Scotland Yard). I
did my compulsory time as a street cop (yes, I wore one of these hats:
<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uniforms_and_equipment_of_the_British_police>),
then I started the long road to becoming a detective.

I'd joined to get into the Computer Crime Unit at Scotland Yard and was
there for about 4 years before Microsoft lured me away for a few years
in Redmond.

Now I work for Team Cymru from an office in San Diego, CA. I still do
investigations, mainly into botnets, malware and other forms of online
criminality. I also do a lot of thinking about stuff. And a lot of
talking to people about stuff. Sometimes they're interested, often not :)
